Flight departures and arrivals

Check real-time flight status at Melilla Airport (MLN) (MLN). Review schedules and possible delays before heading to the terminal or arranging your transportation.

Transport and getting around

The airport is located southwest of Melilla, along the Carretera de Yasinen, a short distance from the city centre and the port. Taxis are the main direct transport option from the terminal, which also offers car rental services. Melilla’s urban bus network does not have a route serving the terminal building directly.

Official taxis are available at a designated taxi rank in front of the passenger terminal, near the arrivals exit. Passengers can board directly outside the building without travelling to another pick-up point.

Melilla city centre is approximately 3 km away, so journeys are generally short. Taxis provide direct access to the historic centre, shopping areas, hotels and the port, where ferries depart for mainland Spain.

Fares are regulated and include an airport surcharge, with a minimum fare of €5 for journeys starting at the airport. Taxis are the most convenient option for passengers travelling with luggage or heading directly to their accommodation.

Car rental services are available at the airport, including OK Mobility, which has a desk in the terminal’s arrivals hall. Vehicles are collected from designated parking areas near the terminal building.

From the airport, drivers can reach central Melilla, the port and neighbourhoods such as El Real and Industrial, as well as other parts of the autonomous city.

Given Melilla’s relatively short distances, renting a car is particularly useful for passengers planning several journeys during their stay or who prefer having their own vehicle. For a single transfer to the city centre or a hotel, a taxi is generally more convenient.

📦 Distinctive feature

Melilla Airport has a relatively short runway and its operations are affected by the characteristics of its approach procedures. Periods of low visibility can cause delays, diversions or flight cancellations, so passengers should check their flight status when adverse weather conditions are expected.
