Des Moines International Airport is located southwest of Downtown Des Moines, with access primarily via Fleur Drive and the surrounding urban road network. Ground transportation options include taxis, app-based ride services, private transfers, hotel shuttles and rental cars.
Uber, Lyft and other app-based ride services also use designated commercial transportation areas at the airport.
The airport’s proximity to Downtown Des Moines allows relatively short travel times to the city center, although journey times depend on traffic conditions.
