Jorge Chávez International Airport (IATA code: LIM, ICAO code: SPJC), also known as Lima Airport, is the main airport in Peru. It is located in the Constitutional Province of Callao, approximately 11 km west of central Lima, and serves the Peruvian capital and its metropolitan area. Its new terminal, operational since June 2025, handles both domestic and international flights and serves as the country’s main air transport hub.

Transportation and getting around
The airport is accessed via Morales Duárez Avenue, using the bridges leading to the new terminal. Transportation options to Lima and Callao include taxis, AeroDirecto public buses, Airport Express services to Miraflores, and rental cars. The best option depends on your destination, luggage and arrival time.
App-based ride services use different meeting points, mainly along the free-access roadway and other designated areas. Before leaving the terminal, confirm the exact pickup location with your driver.
• AeroDirecto: a public bus service operating six routes to different parts of Lima and Callao, including central Lima, northern and southern districts, and Ventanilla. Bus stops are located along the free-access roadway, connected to the terminal’s second floor by a pedestrian boulevard. It is an affordable option, particularly for passengers traveling with light luggage.
• Airport Express Lima: a bus service connecting the airport with Miraflores, with stops near hotels and tourist areas in the district. Its boarding point is on the first floor, in the arrivals area near exits 2 and 3. It is a convenient choice for travelers staying in Miraflores.
Vehicle pickup and return take place in designated areas within the airport grounds, following each company’s instructions. When booking, confirm the exact vehicle collection point.

Several hotels are located near the airport and in other parts of Callao. For travelers with overnight connections or early departures, it is important to distinguish hotels near the new terminal from those located beside the former terminal building.
The Wyndham Grand Costa del Sol Lima Airport is approximately 60 meters’ walk from the new terminal and can be reached on foot. Meanwhile, the Costa del Sol Wyndham Lima Airport, located beside the former terminal, is approximately 5.3 km from the current building and offers a complimentary shuttle service between the hotel and the airport.
