Ground transportation
The airport is connected to Medellín via the Túnel de Oriente (Eastern Tunnel) and other roads crossing eastern Antioquia. Passengers can travel by taxi, intercity bus or rental car. There is no direct connection to the Medellín Metro, although some bus routes provide access to its network.
For journeys to Rionegro, a separate taxi service operates from the arrivals area, near door 3, with availability coordinated around airport flight operations.
Fares and travel conditions depend on the destination and type of service.
Available connections include Combuses services to San Diego Shopping Center, the Hotel Nutibara area and Exposiciones station on the Medellín Metro.
Depending on the route, buses may travel via the Túnel de Oriente, Las Palmas road or the Medellín–Bogotá highway. Some services allow passengers to connect with the Metro or continue to other parts of the city.
Alamo, Enterprise and National share a service location on the left-hand side after exiting international arrivals, toward the end of the arrivals hall. Alamo also identifies its office as unit L1029 on the first floor.
