Check real-time flight status at Orlando Airport (MCO). Review schedules and possible delays before heading to the terminal or arranging your transportation.
Orlando International Airport combines a North Terminal Complex, consisting of Terminals A and B and four satellite gate areas, with a separate Terminal C that opened in 2022. Terminal C is connected to the Brightline rail station, providing direct train services from the airport to destinations in South Florida, including Miami. This combination of air connections, intercity rail service and tourism-oriented facilities is a defining feature of MCO.
Ground transportation
The airport is located southeast of Orlando, with road access via Jeff Fuqua Boulevard and connections to major highways, including State Road 528. Ground transportation options include taxis, ride-hailing services, LYNX public buses, resort shuttles, rental cars and Brightline intercity trains.
Uber and Lyft also operate at MCO, with pickup locations separate from the taxi stands. At Terminals A and B, ride-hailing services generally use Level 2, near Baggage Claim. At Terminal C, pickups take place on Level 6.
Passengers should follow Ride Share signs and check their app for the designated meeting point.
Licensed taxis use meters, with fares depending on the route, traffic conditions and journey. Trips to theme parks and resort areas may involve toll roads.
The main LYNX bus stops are located at Terminal A, Level 1, in the ground transportation area. Several urban routes and connections to other public transit services are available from this location.
LYNX also provides connections to the Sand Lake Road SunRail station, part of Central Florida’s commuter rail system. Reaching SunRail requires a bus transfer, as the railway does not have a station inside the airport.
Passengers using Terminal C can take the complimentary Terminal Link system to the North Terminal Complex to reach the main LYNX bus connections.
Current routes, fares and schedules are available on the official LYNX website.
Orlando International Airport also has a Brightline intercity rail station next to Terminal C. Brightline trains connect the airport with South Florida destinations, including West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale and Miami.
The station forms part of the airport’s intermodal transportation complex and is connected to Terminal C by a covered pedestrian walkway. Passengers arriving from Terminals A and B can reach the station using the complimentary Terminal Link train.
Train destinations, schedules and tickets are available on the official Brightline website.
These services use designated ground transportation areas at Terminals A, B and C. Operators include Mears Destination Services and other companies providing transportation to the region’s main hotel and resort districts.
Universal Orlando Resort offers its SuperStar Shuttle service, while some hotels provide complimentary transportation for their guests. Availability, pickup locations and reservation requirements vary by property or operator.
Transfers are also available to destinations such as International Drive, Walt Disney World Resort, Lake Buena Vista and other resort areas in Central Florida.
Shared shuttles may stop at several hotels before reaching their final destination, so journey times can be longer than by taxi or private transfer.
At Terminals A and B, rental car counters are located on Level 1, while vehicle pickup takes place in the corresponding parking garages, which are directly connected to the terminal building.
Terminal C has its own rental car facilities, accessible from Level 4, with vehicle pickup and returns at Parking Garage C.
The presence of rental car companies within the airport’s terminal complexes allows passengers to reach many rental vehicles without using an external shuttle.
Additional rental companies operate from off-airport locations and provide complimentary shuttle services from designated ground transportation areas.
Getting between terminals
Terminals A and B occupy opposite sides of the same building within the airport’s North Terminal Complex. Passengers can walk between them on Level 3, where the main check-in facilities are located.
The North Terminal Complex has four satellite gate areas connected to Terminals A and B by complimentary automated trains, known as Automated People Movers (APMs).
Terminal C is housed in a separate complex to the south. Passengers traveling between Terminal C and Terminals A or B can use the complimentary Terminal Link train, which connects the North Terminal Complex with the intermodal transportation facility. A covered pedestrian walkway links this facility to Terminal C.
A complimentary shuttle bus also operates between Terminal B and Terminal C, with designated stops in the ground transportation areas.
Transfers between the North and South Terminal Complexes take place outside the secure boarding areas, so connecting passengers may need to pass through security screening again.
