Ground transportation
Tulsa International Airport offers several ground transportation options, including taxis, app-based rideshare services, public buses and hotel shuttles. Rental car counters are located inside the terminal, with vehicle pickup and return facilities in the airport parking garage.
App-based rideshare services, including Uber and Lyft, use a designated pickup area along Arrivals Roadway, near the baggage claim exits.
Passengers should request their ride through the appropriate app and follow the signs to the designated pickup location. Rideshare vehicles pick up passengers along the right-hand lane of Arrivals Roadway, beyond the taxi pickup area.
The route provides connections to Denver Avenue Station in downtown Tulsa and Memorial Midtown Station, where passengers can transfer to other local bus services.
It also serves residential neighborhoods and commercial districts along its route. Travelers should check the current airport bus stop location and service information before traveling.
Routes, schedules and fares are available on the official MetroLink Tulsa website.
Some nearby hotels also provide complimentary or prearranged airport shuttle services for their guests.
Passengers are advised to contact their accommodation directly to confirm availability, booking requirements and pickup arrangements.
Rental vehicle pickup and return facilities are situated on the second level of the airport parking garage, which can be reached on foot from the terminal complex.
On-airport rental car companies include Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, Payless and Thrifty.
Peer-to-peer car rental services, such as Turo, are also available at the airport. Their vehicle pickup and return procedures differ from those of traditional rental car companies.
Getting between concourses
Tulsa International Airport has one main terminal with two departure concourses, Concourse A and Concourse B, connected by indoor pedestrian walkways.
Passengers access the departure areas from the central terminal, where the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) security checkpoint is located. After clearing security, travelers can follow the signs to the gates in either concourse.
The airport does not have automated people movers or an internal train system between concourses. Passengers travel between the gate areas on foot.
The terminal’s relatively compact layout allows travelers to reach departure gates from the central building without taking a shuttle bus.
Tulsa International Airport is home to Tech Ops – Tulsa, the largest aircraft maintenance base operated by American Airlines and one of the world’s largest commercial aircraft maintenance facilities.
Established in 1946, the facility plays a major role in aircraft inspections, repairs and component maintenance for the airline. It is also an important center of aerospace industry activity in Oklahoma.
