Ground transportation
The airport is located close to downtown San Diego, with its main road access via North Harbor Drive. Ground transportation options include taxis, public buses, rideshare services and rental cars, as well as free shuttle connections to local transit stations.
After collecting their baggage, passengers should follow the ground transportation signs to the appropriate pickup area. Airport transportation staff are available to assist travelers.
Rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft also operate at the airport, with designated pickup locations serving each terminal.
Route 992 stops are located on the departures level of Terminals 1 and 2.
Another option is the San Diego Flyer, a free electric shuttle service connecting the airport with Old Town Transit Center, where passengers can transfer to the Trolley, local buses and regional rail services.
